William Lane Wine Co. Frappato/Nero d’Avola California 2023

William Lane works exclusively with Mediterranean Island grape varieties, so consider this a Cerasualo de Vittoria of sorts from grapes grown in California. A little bit of carbonic maceration gives the wine a freshness without drifting into the glou-glou style. Maraschino cherries, cranberries, and springtime flowers.  The Nero d’Avola provides structure and savory notes of earth and blood oranges while the Frappato is light and vibrant with a high energy finish.
