Mancini Canonnau di Sardegna 2024

Canonnau is the local name for Grenache and it’s the pride of red winemaking in Sardinia, with claims that the grape traces its origins back to the island itself. (Sorry Spain). The "Falcale" bottling is the reserva and it shows textbook qualities of bright black cherry, juicy plum, Mediterranean herbs, and an almost poultry like terroir. Soft and smooth with the acidity and tannins providing only complimentary textures, rather than directing the wine itself.
