Sourced from a single vineyard which Jean Manciat considers to be his best site, the Franclieu lieu-dit is composed of stony slopes with clay and limestone. Aged in stainless steel with additional aging on the lees, this provides a creamy base for the apricot and umami aromas to build on. A small amount of reduction, apples, pears, chamomile and a rustic minerality. The fruit and soil speak loudly in this wine.
