Domaine des Ronces “Chalasse” Cotes du Jura 2020

The wines of Jura have been increasing in popularity with newer cleaner/unoxidized versions attracting new enthusiast. This wine does a good job of being modern, more specifically in the “ouillé” style, with the barrels being topped off. Asian pears, Nilla Wafers™, yellow apples, macadamia nuts, lemon grass and salty/spicy flavors. Really enjoyable on its own, but it should pair well with the traditional Comté.
