Colliano Sauvignonasse Goriska Slovenia 2021

The first question is, “Why is this so cheap, and sooo good?” The Goriška Brda Wine Cellar is a co-op with over 400 growers as owners. The Slovenian name for Friulano is Sauvignonasse and the grape goes back centuries in the area. The natural waxiness of the grape is displayed with raw honey and bees wax followed by additional herbal notes. Asian pears, papaya, tarragon and thyme are savory with salty acidity and an earthy clay note.
