If the Mâconnais had a Grand Cru vineyard, this would be it. A third of plantings date back to 1917, with the rest 50-60 years old. Joint project between Dominique Lafon and Olivier Merlin, this is a limited production, hard-to-find wine that’s a steal compared to wines of similar quality from Côte d’Or. A refined, classy nose of white flowers, integrated oak, stone fruits, leading on to a palate that maintains its freshness all the way through the long finish.
