Wolf Family "Phaedrus" Cabernet Napa Valley 2014

Blend of two vineyards in St. Helena and Calistoga, from the Wolf family who have been making consistently good Cabernet for twenty years now. Great example of the voluptuous 2014 vintage, with ripe black fruits on the inviting, aromatic nose, together with an oaky smokiness, cloves, and licorice. Despite the firm tannic structure, very fresh acidity lifts the wine and stops it being too heavy. A juicy, more-ish wine.
