Stirm Kick-On Riesling 2014

Ryan Stirm is different: a Californian winemaker specializing in Riesling. He believes it can work well here, and chooses suitably sites cool. Kick-On Ranch is on sand dunes in Santa Barbara, receiving plenty of sunshine to get the grapes ripe but retaining acidity from the cool influence of the Pacific. Ryan unusually puts Riesling through MLF, giving some creamy richness. This is 2014, so there are also some mature petrol aromas.
