  1. Ameztoi "Stimatum" Getariako Txakolina 2018

    Ameztoi "Stimatum" Getariako Txakolina 2018

    $22.00
A very unusual red wine: from the Basque country, the grape is Hondarribi Beltza. As is traditional in the region, there’s a little spritz on pouring. Carbonic aromas on the nose of cranberry, redcurrant, strawberry, raspberry, clove, and licorice followed by a palate with very high acidity. The slight fizz adds even more vibrancy to lift the very firm tannins. Spicy and grainy, this is a surprising mouthful for a wine of just 12% ABV. Great barbeque wine. Learn More

  3. Raul Perez Ultreia Mencia Bierzo 2017 MAGNUM

Raul Perez Ultreia Mencia Bierzo 2017 MAGNUM

    $48.00
Raul Perez is essentially the Godfather of Bierzo and the grape varietal of Mencia. Not only that, but he has been a pioneer of organic and biodynamic farming. The flavors here are reminiscent of a damp maple leaf at the first setting of dew on a crisp autumn morning. It has a nice palate weight and the finsh is long with good depth. Natural winemaking that comes from a mix of slate and granite with a delicateness and refinement . Learn More
  4. Atalier by Raul Perez "A Cruz das Animas" Rias Baixas Albarino 2018 MAGNUM

Atalier by Raul Perez "A Cruz das Animas" Rias Baixas Albarino 2018 MAGNUM

    $55.00 (NET)
An extremely exciting new project from Raul Perez, who’s making Albariño in a traditional manner. The vines have been farmed by the same family since the mid-nineteenth century, giving the wine an extra intensity and concentration. The grapes are picked later than most to soften the acidity, meaning MLF isn’t needed. The wine is then aged in old oak foudres for extra weight and texture. This is a serious Albariño. Learn More
  5. Suertes del Marques "Nat Cool" LIstan Negro Tenerife 2017

Suertes del Marques "Nat Cool" LIstan Negro Tenerife 2017

    $30.00
The variety with which Suertes del Marqués Cool is made is Listán Negro: a grape that adapts perfectly to the rich volcanic soils of Tenerife and that is cultivated using the traditional braided cord system on the Canary Islands. Organic farming practices are used with the addition of minimal sulphur. Funky plum, red apple, and a smoky minerality. The nose is a little reductive with red cherries, spice and rasperries. Finsh is light and taut. Learn More

Marques de Irun Verdejo Rueda 2018

This is a small bodega owned buy the famed Sherry house Lustau. The vienyards are located 500-700 meters above sea level and the soils consist of gravel and sand alluvial deposits on top of limestone bedrock. 9. Baron de Magana Navarra Red Blend 2011

Baron de Magana Navarra Red Blend 2011

    $28.00
It’s always nice to find a winery in which their current release has some age on it. A sensational effort, it boasts a dense ruby/purple color as well as abundant notes of blackberries, crème de cassis, camphor and flowers, a medium to full-bodied mouthfeel, tremendous lushness and purity, and a beautifully textured, round, generous finish. This sexy, supple wine should drink well for 3-5+ years. Learn More
  10. Cesar Marquez Las Firmas Mencia Bierzo 2017

Cesar Marquez Las Firmas Mencia Bierzo 2017

    $30.00
If there was a stock market for grape varieties I would strongly suggest an investment in Mencia from the north of Spain. The legendary Raul Perez is the uncle of César Márquez and some of those natural winemaking techniques have trickled down the family tree. This Mencia comes from vines that are 80-120 years imparting fresh earth notes, cranberry, raspberry, and Logan berry. A delicate palate with a light texture make this a pleasure to drink. Learn More
