Sova Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2015

79% Cabernet Sauvignon, 16% Merlot, 5% Petit Verdot. Just 147 cases made. Sean Behrens works at his family’s winery and has started his own side project. Aged for a couple of years in 60% new French oak, the 2015 is his first vintage and it’s everything we hoped for: big, spicy, smoky, oaky, and fruity, lifted by an attractive floral nose and held together with firm tannins and juicy acidity. Sova means owl in many Slavic languages, a nod to his wife’s background.
