Antica Terra Rose "Angelicall" 2014 (Magnum)

This is a wine quite like no other. Called a rosé, even though it looks like a red wine, because 11 separate lots were macerated for between just 3 to 9 days. Think of it as a pale Pinot with an astonishing versatility: serve it cold at the beginning of the meal with the hors d’oeuvres, and let it warm up to go with the fish and then the meat. Light, subtly fruity, grainy, textured, with a depth that belies its delicacy and a long finish that takes an age to die away. Unforgettable.
