  1. Domaine du Tremblay Sauvignon Blanc Quincy 2018

Domaine du Tremblay Sauvignon Blanc Quincy 2018

    $19.00
Quincy is a tiny little appellation just west of the massively popular Sancerre, but the quality is all there. The region of roughly 25 producers sits on mostly sand and gravel; tiny production means the wines don’t make it to the states very often. This wine is 100% Sauvignon Blanc and shows notes of fresh-cut grass, honeydew melon, yellow apple, and Bartlett pear. There is a salty minerality with more of a green apple on the palate leading to a finish that is dry without being austere. Learn More

Ripe, but earthy brambly black fruits, spiced plums and black cherry. Cracked pepper, blackberry, and licorice are surrounded by herbal notes of sage and long layered tannins. A very concentrated wine that shows barrel notes from 14 months of oak, but also has a freshness to its fruit components. Learn More

Hourglass "HGIII" Napa Valley Red Wine 2017

    $53.00
Multiple layers of fruit are coaxed out of the glass by winemaker Tony Biagi. Mostly Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petite Sirah. This is very much a bordeaux style wine with earthy notes of leather, wet leaves, and forest floor. Dark fruits, dark chocolate, figs and fine tannins allow this wine to show its depth and concentration. This is a big wine that can stand up to big food, but its silky smooth texture allows it to hold its own all by itself. Learn More

Halcon Vineyards "Alturas" Syrah Yorkville Highlands 2017

This is a big wine, mostly because of its exuberance, but its flavors of cracked pepper, bitter chocolate, and plum are still evident. The earth flavors are dominated by sage, oolong tea, lavander and mint. Learn More
