Wine - Domestic - Pinot Noir - Blue Farm

Blue Farm began in 2001 when viticulturist Anne Moller-Racke planted seven acres of Pinot Noir behind her historic Victorian farmhouse in Carneros. Anne designed the vineyard to produce one complete wine, blended from her favorite Pinot Noir clonal selections (Swan, 667, 115 and Calera). Anne now makes 3-4 single bottlings from her estate Anne Katharina Vineyard.

A native of Oberwesel, Germany, Anne Moller-Racke arrived in Sonoma County in 1981. Her focus on Pinot Noir started at California’s first winery, Buena Vista and lead to the founding of the acclaimed Donum Estate in 2001. Today, Anne is one of the most respected winegrowers of cool climate Chardonnay and Pinot Noir in California.

Today, Blue Farm crafts delicious Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from five vineyards and five AVAs within Sonoma County. The wines are sourced from Carneros, Fort Ross-Seaview, Sonoma Valley, Russian River Valley, and the Sonoma Coast. The common thread between the sites is the meticulous farming. The winemaking style is hands off, allowing a clear expression of the vineyard and the vintage.
