    This is made from 80-year-old vines on Hawkeye Ranch in Redwood Valley, a dry-farmed vineyard that’s been in the same family for five generations. A layer of whole clusters were covered by the rest of the destemmed fruit for gentle extraction and extra complexity. The result is a very engaging wine, with aromas of pomegranate, black cherry, plum, hibiscus, nutmeg, earth, and smoke, held together by a grainy, tannic structure and fresh acidity.
