  1. Black Slate Vi de la Vila Gratallops Priorat 2018

Black Slate Vi de la Vila Gratallops Priorat 2018

A blend of Garnatxa, Carinyena, and Syrah, aged in new French oak for 16 months, this is an extremely approachable young Priorat at a very advantageous price. The aim is to create indvidual expressions of Priorat – this comes from Gratallops in the heart of the region, which produces full, robust wines. Ripe and fruity, with aromas of strawberry, plum, and blackberry going into a juicy, tannic palate that’s big, full, mouth-coating but very well-balanced. Learn More
  2. Benevolent Neglect Syrah 2018

    Benevolent Neglect Syrah 2018

Smoky, meaty and bacon-like in its qualities, and who doesn’t like bacon? There are also some reductive notes and woodsy barrel flavors. Black olive, and the “old-school” bologna with the pieces of pimento stuffed olive in it. This is all a good thing and it is coupled with herbal notes and chocolate that reminds one of a great Syrah from the Northern Rhône. Another high quality wine from Benevolent Neglect at a price that represents a good value. Learn More
  3. Kermit Lynch Cotes du Rhone 2018

Kermit Lynch Cotes du Rhone 2018

The 2018 is a blend of 56% Grenache, 21% Syrah, 8% Mourvèdre, 7% Carignan, 7% Cinsault, and 1% Marselan. After a 25 day maceration the wine is aged in cement tanks before bottling. A great value year-in and year-out, light in style with dark fruits, herbs and a subtle meaty quality. Made in a style reminiscent of the “house wines” one will find at the bistros in southern France. Learn More

    Matthiasson GSM Rose 2019

Perfect for springtime holiday meals, or enjoying on the porch all summer

Kanpai "Hi No Tori" Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley Rose 2019
Rosé from Napa Cabernet Sauvignon! This is the third release of this rosé – made by Steve Matthiasson, this was one of our most popular rosés last year. An attractive salmon color, with herbal, floral aromas on the nose and strawberries, red cherries, and blackcurrants, followed by a lightly creamy palate and very refreshing acidity. A rosé with substance and character, but easy to sip on. Proceeds partially go to Napa Fire Relief.

Shypoke Rose of Charbono Calistoga 2019
An unusual rosé from one of Napa’s traditional grape varieties, Charbono, which provides a gentle, crunchy fruitiness of red cherry, plum, and raspberry as well as aromas of rose petals and pot-pourri. The grapes are picked early and then whole-cluster pressed to extract just a small amount of color and aroma for this very delicate rosé. Light, fresh, and lean, with a subtly creamy core, this is a delicious, extremely refreshing rosé.

  6. Carboniste Sparkling Albarino 2019

    Carboniste Sparkling Albarino 2019

Now this is fun. Local husband and wife team, Dan and Jacqueline Person, love Albariño so much that they wanted to make California’s first sparkling version. It spends just 3 months on the lees, giving the wine some structure and toasty texture, but this is all about the wine’s freshness: apples, pears, peaches, honeysuckle, jasmine, and a touch of cinnamon. 6g/L dosage – so dry. As the label indicates, drink with octopus. Learn More
  7. J.L. Chave Selection "Mon Coeur" Cotes-du-Rhone 2016 Magnum

J.L. Chave Selection "Mon Coeur" Cotes-du-Rhone 2016 Magnum

Syrah, Grenache, and Carignan from one of the northern Rhône’s iconic producers. The “Sélection” range is made from bought fruit to make the wines more affordable and widely available – but still of the same high quality. The slightly carbonic nose is very pretty and floral with aromas of raspberry, blackberry, and black cherry; the fruit on the palate is really crunchy, backed up by firm tannins and an overall balanced structure. $80.00 (NET)
Louis Barruol is a fourteenth generation winemaker who has been producing only a few precious barrels of various cuvées while helping to save the authenticity and the identity of many great old Côte Rôtie parcels. A pure expression of big fruit, anise, cassis, blackberry and boysenberry. Roasted flavors of incense, cola, & graphite. Still youthful with fresh tannins and acid. Learn More
  10. Do Ferreiro Albarino Rias Baixas 2017

Do Ferreiro Albarino Rias Baixas 2017

From 50-year-old vines in Val do Salnés, the coolest and wettest of the Rías Baixas subregions – which means acidity is particularly high even for Albariño. That acidity is well balanced by rich aromatics of grapes, peach, apricot, honeysuckle, and jasmine followed by a dry, steely, stony palate that finishes with a touch of spicy pepper. This is classic Albariño, rich, aromatic, and very refreshing. Learn More
