William Lane has a focus on Mediterranean varieties grown in California, sourcing from wherever the fruit is best. The Catarratto comes from the hills of Temecula in decomposed granite soils, which are displayed in the glass as smoky minerals. There are margarita flavors and aromas with salty acidity and lime zest. Green apple, pears, pineapple guava, sweet grass and great acidity. Just a cool grape from an unexpected region that works well in the glass.
