Weingut Groebe Kirchspiel Riesling GG Rheinhessen 2017
Weingut Groebe has as a long tradition; founded in the early 1600s. The heart of the Kirchspeil terrain is composed of marlaceous clay, a large proportion of limestone skeletal remains and a small proportion of weathered chalky clay soils. Traditional wooden casks give this a woodsy green apple quality, dried apricots, lemon balm, tarragon, and a light flint quality. The extremely high acidity (9.1g/L) balances out the RS (7.9g/L) perfectly.
