Weingut Benedikt Baltes Spatburgunder Buntsandstein 2015
Jancis Robinson writes "it’s not a lightweight flibbertigibbet", and we couldn't agree more. The man behind the wine is a bit of wunderkind and this light, pretty, elegant wine is a perfect example of German Pinot Noir and its unlimited potential. Dried roses, tangerine, red cherry, roasted meats, strawberry, raspberry, and savory earth shine. The color is translucent red with a slight orange bricking indicating a touch of age, but the color is misleading, as huge amounts of depth and pleasure await.
