Walter Hansel Russian River Valley Estate Pinot Noir 2017

Steve Hansel never had much interest in following his Father Walter’s passion in wine until he met Tom Rochioli and tasted the potential of grapes from the area. Using cuttings from the Rochioli vineyard + Joseph Swan clone to plant his Estate vineyard just west of Santa Rosa. Smell and taste ripe dark cherry and raspberry fruit, cherry cola, cloves, allspice, mushroom, there’s a hint of oak in the background, bright acid and a medium to full body. Delightful.
