Violet Green Merlot Napa Valley 2012

From 2012, it’s unusual and very welcome to see Napa Merlot with a little bit of age to it. Husband and wife team make small production wines that are all about quality. This Merlot is a fine example: aromatic, with lots of fruits, spices, and flowers to smell – plums, figs, raisins, prunes, violets, clove, and nutmeg. An extremely smooth palate with a deep, lasting finish makes this wine extremely inviting and has you begging for more.
