Violet Green Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley 2015

We’ve carried every vintage of Violet Green’s wine ever since their first vintage was released in ’05. They’re a small husband and wife team based in Humboldt County, and their winemaking is driven by attention to detail. This is a juicy, fruity Cab that kicks in at this price: ripe, almost decadent blackcurrants, blackberries, and plums, with roasted coffee, smoke, and peppercorn. A firm, tannic texture balanced by fresh acidity gives the wine great ageing potential.
