Vie de Romans “Dolee” Friulano 2018

Grown on shallow gravel the size of pebbles with sand-silt of a reddish hue from the presence of ferrous and aluminum oxides. 10 months on the lees with no malo give this wine a lasting minerality, honeydew melon and prosciutto, and white pepper corn.  This region has the best aromatics featuring lemon grass, papaya, passion fruit coriander and white flowers.  Leaps and bounds ahead of most crispy whites from Italy.  This is Friulano done right.
