"Rotschiefer" means "Red Slate," the rocky soil in which these vines grow in Germany's Saar region. A feinherb, indicating some R.S. Seems trocken to us. Smell and taste tropical fruits, orange oil, grapefruit wedges, spring flowers. Lush and creamy for Saar Riesling, a function of the ripe 2015 vintage.
