Valle de Passos Red Blend Portugal 2014

Mainly Touriga Nacional and Touriga Franca, rounded out by an old-vine field blend, all grown in the Trás-os-Montes region above the Douro. It’s everything one would expect from a Portuguese red, big, chunky, and meaty, but lifted by fresh acidity and filled out with dense aromas of red cherry, plum, blackberry, damson, and dried herbs. Drink with meat or rich barbeque food.
