Turley Cinsault Bechtold Vineyard Lodi 2022

The Bechthold Cinsault vines in Lodi are legendary, planted in 1885, the twisted head-trained vines are highly sought after by wine geeks. The grape has a naturally high acidity which is mitigated by the warm weather of the region. Whole cluster fermentation and 100% neutral French oak gives the wine a brightness and lightness with Pinot Noir-like qualities of cherry, baking spices, and silky fruit. The tannins and acidity provide depth and palate cleansing refreshment. A sort of bridge from rosé to red wines.
