Trois Noix Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley 2016
Trois noix translates to the “three nuts” and it is a reference to the 3 kids of the Araujo family with Jaime Araujo taking the role of lead peanut here. She spent about a decade and a half as an ex-Pat in France and some of that influence shows up in the wine. That is a big compliment. The fruit has a little bit more of a sense of place in this wine, shying away from the jammy robustness that has been trendy in California Cabs.
