Rutherford Bench winery gets dry farmed, "Italian sustainable" (organic) Petite Sirah grown in heavy, black volcanic soil. Petite Sirah's inherent "bigness" and "rusticity" powers this full-flavored, precocious red wine. Smell and taste mulberries, cocoa, smoky black olive, toasty oak, black licorice. Not tannic by Petite Sirah standards. It's a mouthful.
