180-year-old family winery now run by Peter and his daughter Cecilia, who is the sixth generation to be involved. The grapes for this excellent and great-value Pinot Noir come from an outstanding site in Rheingau with rich, loamy soils. Aged only in stainless steel, an attractive, inviting nose leads into aromas of roses, strawberry, raspberry, fig, licorice, and smoke. The earthy intensity is lifted by a very fresh palate, with some maturity slowly developing. Very good example of German Pinot.
