Tonella Bordeaux Style Blend Napa 2016

The Tonellas have been farming in Napa for 100+ years, the first two generations working at Beaulieu. This is 40% Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Oakville Cabernet Franc, 20% hillside Stags Leap Malbec, aged in 70% new French oak for 18 months. There’s a grainy oak texture, with aromas of clove, pepper, mocha, dried herbs, blackcurrant, blackberry, and plum, with a long, layered finish. This is a killer, under-the-radar Napa blend.
