To the benefit of those who know and enjoy these wines, Anjou is a lesser known Loire Valley region. Skilled producers like Batardiere make delicious, highly aromatic, concentrated Chenin Blanc. Biodynamic. Pear, apple, crisp lemon wedge and a whiff of brioche on the finish. Starts out round and fleshy, then resolves into lean and acidic.
