The Withers Ruben Red Blend El Dorado 2016

83% Mourvèdre, 9% Syrah, and 8% Grenache grown in the hills of El Dorado. Floral, spicy aromas and bold well-articulated flavors accompany a firm, moderately tannic texture in this oaky but well-balanced Mourvèdre-based wine. It has a tangy nervy mouthfeel, plenty of baking-spice and cedar nuances and a good core of red and black cherry. Earthy notes, meaty, black pepper, plums, raspberry and savory elements round out the palate.
