The Mascot Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley 2012

Here’s a wine with some pedigree. Made by Will Harlan – son of Bill Harlan – from younger vines on the same vineyards used by Bond, Harlan, and Promontory (new Harlan project), this is a complex, age worthy wine that’s already drinking beautifully. From the great 2012 vintage, the black fruit aromas are crunchy and irresistible, with cracked black pepper, licorice, and coffee, all held together by firm but approachable tannins. Drink now-2030.
