Tessier Trousseau San Benito 2019
Single vineyard Trousseau from San Benito’s limestone soils that helped bring Calera fame. Picked at 20.9 brix with 50% whole cluster and 50% destemmed for fermentation then aged for 14 months. Varietally correct with a light brickish garnet, low alcohol, and bold finish. A very herbal expression with tarragon, fennel, fig, cola, and pepper. Light weight on the palate with tannins and acid that are light yet grippy.
