Terre Rouge has been around for over 25 years now and remains one of the most under-the-radar wineries we know. The 2016 Syrah shows a touch of the grape’s feral side yet maintains polish and drinkability. Milk chocolate, sage brush, tar, plums, blackberries and espresso provide power while delicate flavors of violets, cinnamon and raspberry bring balance. All in all, expect a silky texture with many Old World attributes.
