Terre Rouge Syrah "Les Cotes de L'Ouest" El Dorado 2015

Terre Rouge has been around for over 25 years now and is probably the most under-the-radar winery around. The 2015 Syrah shows some of the feral side of the grape while maintaining polish and drinkability.  Milk chocolate, sage brush, tar, plums, blackberries, and espresso provide power while delicate flavors of violets, cinnamon, and raspberry balance the high elevation fruit with the richer lower elevation fruit.
