Stony Hill Chardonnay Napa Valley 2012

Family-owned, "Estate" vineyard north of St. Helena and in the hills just west of Highway 29. Famous for their no-butter, no-oak Chardonnays, Stony Hill's 2012 is a bit on the riper side for them (though it's certainly lean by Napa chard standards). Get Tropical fruits, ripe apples, citrus zest, crushed rocks, quince, grapefruit, green apple and fresh pineapple, just-ripened. Great acidity. Drink or hold 6-10 years.
