Stony Hill Chardonnay Napa Valley 2010

Family-owned, "Estate" vineyard north of St. Helena and in the hills just west of Highway 29. Famous for their no-butter, no-oak Chardonnays, Stony Hill's 2010 is classic for them (and perfect vintage, on the cooler side for Napa Valley). Needs a decanting to open up. Then get citrus zest, crushed rocks, quince, grapefruit, green apple and fresh pineapple, just-ripened. Great acidity. This wine will age gracefully through 2020.
