As the crew’s taste in wine has evolved there was a desire to make a more structured wine from the best "reserve" lot of the greater Cuadrilla cuvée.  It’s only bottled in magnums to prolong the life of this structured, age-worthy red blend. Only mature plantings from the 1990s made the cut for the 2019 Padrino: 70% Block 5 Syrah for smooth depth, 15% Block 1 Grenache for structure and backbone, and 15% Block 3 Sangiovese for juicy brightness.
