The approach here is as minimalist as possible, with very little SO2 added. It’s a blend of three different vintages (’14-’16 ), three different regions (Redwood Valley, Edna Valley, and El Dorado), and three varieties: 87% Petite Sirah, with 8% Grenache and 5% Mourvèdre. Big, dark, and plush, with rich, concentrated aromas of blackberry, black cherry, plum, tarragon, all-spice, mocha, and black olives, finished with firm, grainy, mouthcoating tannins. Proceeds go to anti-slavery causes.
