Snowden "The Ranch" Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley 2016

This Cabernet Sauvignon sneaks in just above the legal limits with the other Bordeaux varieties, 18% Merlot and 4% Petite Verdot making up the rest of the wine. These additions provide a balance of suppleness and power. The fruit is bright, but somehow also dusty, bringing out the blackberry, plum, and licorice. The tannins hit the mouth immediately, but slowly fade to a soft and seductive finish of cocoa powder and French oak notes.
