Another great Chardonnay from the Matthiasson farmed Linda Vista Vineyard in Oak Knoll. Harvested early, then barrel fermented and aged for 10 months in French and Hungarian oak, the wine is beautifully balanced between showing the barrel spice and maintaining a non-California crispness. Nutmeg, clove, baked apples and subtle citrus. The overall texture is creamy, rich and smooth, yet the finish is taut, minerally and full of low brix (21.5) acidity.
