90% Cabernet Sauvignon, the rest Petit Verdot and Malbec, coming from Rutherford, Calistoga, and Pope Valley. Spending 22 months in 50% new French oak, there’s a lot going on in this wine at a good price: ripe black fruits that hint at jam, violets, dark chocolate, vanilla, black pepper, licorice, clove, smoke, and oak, finished off with a rich, coating mouthfeel. Very tasty.
