Sidonia de Sousa Bairrada 2015
Baga is a difficult, small-berried grape that was long overlooked until being revived in the 1990s in the coastal region of Bairrada. It gives wines an incredible, tannic, long-lived structure evident in this ridiculously good-value wine. It has a great tannic grip lifted by lively acidity, with concentrated aromas of red cherry, raspberry, plum, tarragon, and black pepper. Drink this with any rich, meaty dish.
