Sholium Project Red Blend "La Cuve En Bois" 2014

Half & half Cabernet Sauvignon & Petite Sirah co-fermented and aged 11 months in a large “cuve en bois,” or wooden tank. Just one barrel (22 cases!) made of this wine, which was supposed to be part of another blend but was so good they bottled it on its own. Rich and dark, almost Amarone-like flavors of dried plums, cherries and blueberries. Densely textured, bracing acid. A Back Room Wines exclusive.
