FOREIGN-ISSUED CREDIT CARDS ARE NOT ACCEPTED. ALL OVERSEAS ORDERS MUST BE PAID BY WIRE TRANSFER ONLY.

BOTTLE CONDITIONS: All wines are sold “as is.” Back Room Wines will provide as detailed an assessment of bottle conditions as possible. Where detailed conditions are not explicitly offered on the website, photographs of bottle labels, capsules, corks and ullage are available upon request.
RETURNS: If, when wine is received, you are not satisfied with the conditions of an unopened bottle or bottles, MFW must be notified within 3 days of receipt if an exchange or refund is to be arranged. We will not negotiate complaints or disagreements about bottle conditions beyond the 3-day timeframe and if a purchase is to be returned, it must be returned unopened. MFW will not accept returns of opened bottles.
ACCEPTED FORMS OF PAYMENT: American Express, Visa, Mastercard & Discover, Check and Wire Transfer.
ORDER PROCESSING: In general, orders are shipped as received and within 24 hours of order placement. Orders placed after 3:00 pm PST will ship the following business day regardless of shipping method. Orders placed over the weekend will be fulfilled the first business day after the weekend.
UPS GROUND is our standard shipping method. Back Room Wines will not ship to a PO box, an APO address or a college. All wines are shipped in styrofoam and cardboard to ensure safe transit. You may opt for expedited shipping at checkout.
INSURANCE against breakage or loss is included in the shipping cost. In cases of very costly purchases, additional insurance may be required and costs will be adjusted when payment is processed. You must notifiy us within 24 hours if you have an insurance claim.
PROOF OF AGE: You must be 21 years old to purchase wine from Back Room Wines. All orders are shipped via common carrier and proof of age is required to take delivery. In cases of delayed shipment, Back Room Wines will attempt to establish contact before shipping to ensure that an adult will be available to receive the order.
WEATHER CONDITONS: Back Room Wines will hold orders in our temperature-controlled warehouse if we consider it too warm or cold to ship to your area. If a delivery is time-sensitive, please call or email and reference your order number and we can offer options for expedited delivery including overnight, 2-day and 3-day service. Unless otherwise specified, east-coast orders are shipped on Mondays to avoid package layovers in warehouses as storage conditions cannot be guaranteed.
INTERNATIONAL DESTINATIONS: Shipping quotes provided through the website shopping cart may not be accurate and may be adjusted at the time payment is processed. If the actual cost is higher, the purchaser will be notified.
HOLDING INVENTORY: Upon request, Back Room Wines will hold your wine in our temperature-controlled warehouse, free of charge, in order to consolidate purchase, wait for ideal weather, wait for pre-arrival wines or to arrange future pick-up.
