Shane Soizante et Onze Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir 2016

Made by Shane Finlay, winemaker at shop favorite Alden Alli, the fruit comes from vines planted on sandy loam soils in 1971 (hence the name soixante et onze). This is a powerful, intense, meaty wine, full of red and black fruit aromas as well as smoke and pungent spice going into a palate that’s finely balanced by its high acidity and grainy tannins that persist into the long finish. A deep concentrated wine that has a decade of life in it yet.
