Sesti Brunello di Montalcino 2013

From a producer who believes biodynamics don’t go far enough – founder Guiseppe Sesti had a PhD in lunar cycles which still strongly influence farming and winemaking. The result is this classic, traditional Brunello which has been aged over 3 years in large barrels to produce a subtle yet expressive wine with smoke, earth, red cherries and raspberries, figs, dates, and prunes, with grainy tannins and a long, gradual finish.
