Senses Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir 2015

Estate vineyard (Hillcrest) near Occidental on the Sonoma Coast. 2015 saw the drought hit hard with yields dramatically lower than usual – but the positive side effect is extra-concentrated aromas in the wines. There’s a sweet core of dark wild cherry with subtle flavors of freshly-turned soil, olive tapenade, cherry bitters, and dry-aged beef. Intense and layered, it’s good now and will get better for the next 10 years.
