Senses Charles Heintz Sonoma Coast Chardonnay 2016

Charles Heintz’s vineyard near Occidental is one of the finest in Sonoma for Chardonnay. Senses, a team of three local young friends helped by Thomas Rivers Brown, make a perfect representation of the ocean-influenced site: rich, full, and creamy with stone and tropical fruit aromas, but at the same time very acidic and fresh. 55% new French oak adds a grainy, spicy texture. Long and giving, this wine has great ageing potential: drink now-2028.
