Spring Mountain's School House Vineyard is planted mostly to red grapes. Within it, a tiny plot of dry-farmed, Old Wente clone makes this very Burgundian-style Chardonnay. Smell and taste preserved lemons, lemon custard, roast almonds, graham crackers, quince paste, lime. Balances rich, tangy and earthy very well. About 230 cases made.
